Kura Kura Resort
The venue is Kura Kura retreat. It is set a few steps from a black sand beach.
This venue has been used for yoga retreats, so they know what they are doing. It is a smallish venue and is centered around what used to be a family compound. There are 8 villas, so we have a max of 14 guests. As this retreat is small participants are asked to share or to bring a friend/partner. Otherwise we will match you as best as we can. Kura Kura is situated just 50 steps from the sea, in a traditional fishermen’s village called Pantai Seseh (Seseh Beach in English), between Canggu and the famous temple Tanah Lot.
Seseh Beach is still untouched by tourism and remains authentically Balinese, there are no bars, shops or hotels nearby. It is only a 15 minute walk to the very popular Echo Beach, a famous surf spot with restaurants on the beach.
Kura Kura was originally built as a family house and in a way it still is. Many of the eight rooms are old Java style houses situated around the Yoga Shala (central building) and pool. Our rooms are rustic, clean and fresh as the breeze you can feel from the sea, but also protected and safe as the shield of a Kura Kura (Turtle).
The rooms are based on an elegant simplicity and live up to western standards having their own bathroom, rain- and hand shower (warm/cold water), a western toilet, comfortable beds with soft linen and mosquito nets, a veranda, fans and air-conditioning to keep you cool. One room upstairs is not air conditioned but cooled by beautiful sea breezes. They are unpretentiously decorated with care and love. Enjoy the absence of television and nurture yourself in this elegant simplicity. If you need to communicate with the outside world, free Wi-Fi is available
Kura Kura is only 25 minutes by car to the shops and buzz of Seminyak. From the airport and from Ubud it’s about an hour by car.
Bali, known as the Heart Chakra of the world, is a magical place that everyone should experience at least once in a lifetime.
