Marc Holzman—Accelerating the Path to Wellness: Ayurveda Meets Asana

Ayurveda and Yoga are inseparable sister sciences that merge seamlessly to find answers to this age-old question.  Ayurveda is India’s 5,000 year old health care philosophy.  At its very core it teaches us to live in accordance with Nature’s rhythms, for this is the key to aging gracefully.

 Our sessions will integrate basic Ayurveda theory with Hatha Yoga, meditation, mantra and Yoga Nidra. 

The intention is to create a comprehensive, nourishing and challenging yoga practice for all levels while providing you with practical and accessible tools to accelerate your wellness path through Ayurveda.

 Each session will open with a vibrant lecture on an aspect of Ayurveda followed by a yoga practice that embodies our lesson.    

 In these classes you can expect to learn:

·       The History and Purpose of Ayurveda

·       How to work with the 5 elements (Space, Air, Water, Fire, Earth) to diagnose and treat imbalances.

·       Dinacharaya:  Simple daily routines that will boost your longevity and wellbeing

·       How to become your own best self-care giver

Friday 16th August Evening 5:00 pm-7:30 pm

Lecture + Restorative + Yoga Nidra .

After a brief lecture on the genesis of Ayurveda, we dive into a delicious, restful restorative + Yoga Nidra practice to align with the kapha (Water & Earth) time of day.

Ayurveda Focus:  History and Purpose of Ayurveda + Introduction 20 Guna Theory

Nourishing backbends and thigh stretches

Backbends open the Heart Fire and Solar Plexus to increase vitality, passion and metabolism.  Here we expand the front body while strengthening the posterior muscles for support.

Deep Hip Openers, Forward Folds, Mantra + Meditation.

A nourishing, quiet, practice of great depth to anchor, align and elevate body, mind & heart.

Ayurveda Focus: Demo of Ayurveda Self Care practices:  self-massage, nasal oiling, sense organ care.

Marc is a certified Ayurveda practitioner with over 18 years’ experience teaching Hatha Yoga and Meditation. He currently lives in both L.A. and Paris for greater access to the workshops, teacher trainings, and retreats he teaches across the globe. He can also be found across the ethers via his many classes streamed on His signature Ayurveda health coaching program, Evolutionary Habits, has been accelerating the wellness path of students since 2012.
